Anchor charts and other student resources are excellent scaffolds that support all students with access to content and strategies as they learn and apply information independently. However, anchor charts can be big and bulky, taking up a large amount of wall space. Even when students use them as intended, teachers often run into the issue of crowding around the poster making it difficult for all students to see! So what about resource folders? Folders are a great support but can use up a lot of copies and additional costs for the folders themselves, lamination/page protectors, etc. But no more! These student resource bookmarks are the perfect way to allow portability and accessibility and minimize costs. As each skill or strategy is introduced, it can be easily added to a key ring! Each bookmark can be printed on colored cardstock/paper for ease in accessing the appropriate page and can be laminated for extra durability (lamination allows students to use a dry/wet erase marker to make notes and/or check off items). Alternatively, these can be incorporated into an interactive notebook.

This resource came about through my role as a K-12 instructional coach with a desire to achieve vertical and horizontal alignment through developing a common language and structure.
